find clients machine connected to BO server

Hi everyone,

we found that there is common user who will opening more than 100 sessions in BO platform, which cause CMS server performance issue.

we want to found out following details

  1. IP address of the client machine
  2. Time at which sessions were created
  3. Duration of the sessions
  4. Status of the session

we are using BO4.1 SP2.1 platform, can we find this details using audit database? or via tomcat?

could you please share some details.

Hello Ganesha,

Yes, it is possible to pull required data using audit reports; but I believe you need to create a new universe based on audit database as suggested in below guide.

This document will help you to know how to track IP Address using Audit Database

You can also use the Monitoring application in the CMC, there are default probes. For more details, please refer to this article:

hi Asma,

thank you very much for quick response.

Since session is created via external portal (using SDK), audit database shows client IP and name is same as BO server IP and name, so we cant be able find the exact in which client machine external apps runs.

please post some more details about Monitoring how can we use?
