DataPackage failure in the DTP Step of Process Chain

Hi All,

I have a Process Chain where Open Sales data is extracted from BW System to APO InfoCube.

In the DTP step of loading the data to infocube ,multiple data Packages are created.

Data Package 2 ended with errors(Total there are 10 Data Packages) , rest all Data Packages are green.The chain is stuck at this step and it is not progressing further due to Data Package 2 failure.

"Data Package 2: Errors in processing"

In this case should I repair the step and Go ahead with the process chain

OR

Other action should be taken?

Hi Suma,

Don't repair and Load the Data.

There could be dependencies due to this load....Check for the Errors and resolve the same.

Analyse and Reload the Data .

Hi Suma,

To know the error of your DTP, there is an option in the EXTRAS or SYSTEM wherein you can read something like "GENERATE" (if I'm not mistaken,3rd option from the top) then you must check all boxes (I think there are a total of 4 boxes)..Sorry could not tell you the exact option since I'm at home,I will check it tomorrow..

After checking all the boxes, reload your DTP to get again the error and you will have a MAGNIFIER beside the error message then you will see the exact error message..

Hi,

From your pop up screen please click on yellow icon under ltxt.

that will shows exact error message.

see below pic. Click on red mark area and see/share error text.

Hi,

Please expand the failed data package of dtp and see what the error message is...

Or check the job overview of dtp..(right click on dtp in process chain...process monitor....next screen on the top you see job overview...click on it and see lilne by line, you may get the reason..
