Hi everyone,

When I setup system replication between two HANA systems, and create new views, they are replicated to the secondary system?

Yes System Replication is replicating all OBJECTS from the source system(all schema's) to the destination and you should see all changes on the Destination after a takeover

You can test this out by doing a takeover and validating the destination system

Hi Sunil,

Thanks.

I see.

HANA database consits of Index Server, Name Server, Statistics Server, Preprocessor Server and XS Engine.

Which server has views?

There are multiple schemas on HANA and depending on the Schema the data will be stored on the specific service

I beleive you have already created a user Schema and all the data definitions and actual data will be in the Indexserver service which is part of the replication

In any case there is no service left out of system replication each volume for every service is replicated so you should not be concerned about loosing any data

Hi Sunil,

Thanks.

I see.

Views are replicated with system replication feature , and I don't need to perform another feature (e.g. transport)
