Hello Experts,
I support an application which is written in Sybase
PowerBuilder 12.0.
Application executable (.exe) file is created from
PowerBuilder 12.0 32-bit version.
Users access the application through Citrix links hosted on
either Windows Server 2008(64-bit machines) or Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit
machines).
Till date there is no known issue of compatibility between
an executable created by a 32-bit PowerBuilder 12.0 IDE and above mentioned
Windows servers(64-bit).
My query is, If we upgrade our servers to Windows server
2012 (again a 64-bit machine), will 32-bit PowerBuilder 12.0 .exe be still
compatible with Windows Server 2012?
Amit,
I want to complete Pascal's answer:
* PowerBuilder 12.x has never been tested against Windows Server 2012 (See below the info from the Release Bulletin)
This does not mean it cannot work but if you encounter a problem on an unsupported platform, we will ask you to test on a supported one.
* On the other hand, SAP PowerBuilder 12.6 (http://help.sap.com/pb126) supports Windows Server 2012 in runtime mode
HTH,
Jacob
