Dear All,
We are planning to upgrade for SAP's Oracle Database to SAP HANA DB for one of our customer.
Can someone please let me know what are the prerequisite to install the BSI Tax Factory 10.0 on SAP HANA DB...
Regards,
Sonu Gupta

Checking to see if anybody has received any answer as to whether BSI runs on HANA. We have a customer migrating their SAP systems from DB2 to HANA and BSI is setup with a separate schema on the DB2 database currently used by ECC. Has anybody been able to determine BSI's availability on HANA?

Yes, we just went live with migrating ECC from Oracle to HANA this morning. BSI has successfully tested version 10k with HANA internally and submitted it to SAP for certification. However, SAP has not certified it on HANA yet.
We received the following responses from BSI developers:
We stood up a standalone Oracle DB, exported/imported the TF10 schema, installed the Oracle instantclient on the CI, placed the sqlnet.ora / tnsnames.ora in an oracle folder in the profile directory, & installed the BSI server files in the kernel directory with the connection the remote database.
Hope that helps!!

Have either of you actually done this? We are migrating ECC to HANA and we are trying to determine if the taxfactory schema can reside on HANA or if we need a separate Oracle DB just for BSI. Any lessons learned, etc. would be greatly appreciated!!

We are still in our Sandbox system with Hana and our Basis team “pointed” BSI to the actual BSI executable on another SAP/Oracle DB system (our Training system at the moment). However, in the near future we are going to try this same method out with a Windows/SQL server to avoid any Oracle footprint.
Sonu, we are also now planning on moving from Oracle to HANA. Were you able to install BSI Tax Factory on HANA and, if so, is there any documentation or lessons learned available?
Thanks,
Jeff Wible
