Hi Experts,
I have seen the blog which explains the TPM functionality. But now I was confused when to use the TPM and in which business case EDI seperators can be used.
Could you please share differences of TPM and EDI seperators.
Regards,
Jaya
Hi Jaya,
TPM and EDI Seperator adapter are completely different as mentioned by Dimitri.
Below are few cases :
1. Receiver EDI Separator looks into TPM ,for example, to determine whether the acknowldgement is needed for a partner
2. Receiver EDI Separator generally splits bundled messages in to individual messages
3. Sender EDI Separator generally receives the split messages which are then processed as per the requirement
4. TPM is nothing but a dashboard where all the Partner details are maintained + what kind of messages they process + to decide whether a particular set of value mappings are required between the sender and the receiver.
There are so many different possibilities depending on what you want.
You should try to clear out your requirements as mentioned by Dimitri so that we can help further.
Thanks
Saurabh

Hi,
TPM = Trading Partner Management.
You configure the communication channels with the EDI separator adapter to split the incoming batch EDI messages into individual EDI messages. The messages are split based on the content of the business document and the partner type.
The batch EDI message contains specific EDI formats for each of the message types that represent various business documents or transactions such as Purchase Order, Invoice, Delivery Forecast, and so on.
Kind regards,
Dimitri

Hi,
You can integrate TPM, using specific modules in the EDIseparator adapter. Have a look Trading Partner Management - SAP NetWeaver Process Integration, business-to-business add-on 1.0 - SA...
This has nothing to do with 2 different concepts and (dis)advantages or choosing one above the other.
Try to clear out your requirements and have a look how the B2B add-on can fit in.
Kind regards,
Dimitri
