Hi Experts,

One of our user has installed a new printer attached to her PC with windows 7 - 64 bit.

Before that another printer was working fine. Now there is no printouts coming through SAP reports.

Any other prints from Adobe, word etc. are coming fine but only prints from SAP are not printing.

And in spool list it show below error.

So anyone who knows this issue then pls help.

Thanks,

Vishal

Hi all,

We have tried changing all parameters but its still not working.

Also we have found that the exe file 'SAPlpd.exe' is not called at the time of printing any document from that particular laptop. Again this laptop is with windows 7 - 64 bit. And no other printer is working with this laptop for taking prints only from SAP. all other applications are working fine for printing any doc.

So please provide any help with this issue.

Thanks,

Vishal

Hello Vishal,

As Alex described the LP01 should be a dummy printer which can not be used.

If you are sure that now the LP01 is the correct output device(Ever changed) you can
try to change the device type to SWINCF or SAPWIN and see if the printing works.

Hi,

this seems to be a printer configuration issue in SAP.

SAP printers are configured with transaction SPAD.

The screenshot shows as printer name "LP01".

Now LP01 is a dummy printer preconfigured in every SAP system which serves as a default target when no real SAP printer name is given (e.g. in background jobs without proper print attributes)  and it should NEVER point to a "real" printer (a real output  device that receives print data).

Can you show the SPAD data that LP01 is configured with?

I would suggest to examine which printer name the user is using in SAP... I would assume that LP01 is not intended, but it is used "by accident" because no real SAP printer is available.

Regards,

Alex
