ABAP Queery in SQ02 Infoset

Dear expert:

Currently I am develop some query report based on SAP query (SQ01) with some programming stuff in infoset.

I would to check, will it cause any issues if I develop some complex (some logic + large pool of data) query report? (compare with normal abap programming report)

Due to some control in HQ, their do not grant us access to develop ABAP program.

Please correct me if I wrong:

SAP Query: It generate the entire record for the table then we use abap or some control in info to manipulate th display accordingly

ABAP Program Report: We can query only required record and manipulate the display according.

So, in long way (more record in database) it will cause some performance issues.
