Equipment records - in SAP EM

Hi ,

I am pretty new to the SAP Event Management Module ,

There is a high level requirement from the customer - to check if something is feasible in the SAP EM system.

we are managing ECC - Equipment records , where there are user defined status profiles , and these status profiles are milestone processes for a logistics flow of these serial numbers , something like - shipped , at a installation stage , or ready to go ahead and deliver to customer..etc.

and there are business flows - to make these as regular events or unusual events , if some of the process requisites are not followed.

Wanted to get a confirmation - if these user defined status levels , can be monitored as events , and trigger alerts if the process requisites are not met.

Can anyone confirm on it , like if its a standard EM solution or not. Thanks in advance.

Hi Karthi,

We have standard business process types for EPL_EQUIPMT (Fleet) equipment, Quality Notification and Inspection lot scenarios.

However, you can use ESC_DELIV and ESC_SHIPMT and make custom Application objection types and event types according to your scenario like Equipment recorded, Equipment Shipped, Installation stage, Ready to go and Installation to customer.

This require more effort to implement the solution and deliver your scenario because I don't think we have standard scenarios available in system like SAP EM Order or Shipment visibility.
