I am part of our Administrators group in our BOBJ platform. When I run any query I simply get told the server returned no data. I wondered if there was something obvious I was missing. When I search the problem I don't find too many similar posts so I'm at a loss as to where to look for the issue and it makes me think it might just be me missing something.
I have gotten a little further in diagnosing the issue. I get results back if I use http://localhost:8080/AdminTools/ on the server browser but still nothing if I use a browser from any other computer.

on other computers you need to use http://servername:8080/AdminTools where server name is the domain name of your server machine
Thanks for the reply. If you see the discussion above you'll see that what you describe is where I started. For some reason it won't work from any other computers. Everything else works fine with the BI platform. CMC, BI, etc are all good.
I'm trying to figure out how to get it working on other computers when it won't return anything except when using it on the local machine.
Just so you don't think I'm confused I'm using the FQDN when trying on other computers. I'm just using the localhost path on the server.
Can you apply http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqMvrGnqA3A and delete Chrome extensions? Hope this helps, Jin-Chong
Hello Robert,
Could you access Query Builder page of some other working environment and try to login into the problematic environment?
In other words, we will use web tier of other working environment; however this time you need to enter the old system name and port no. which is not working.

Check out InfoStore Query Builder (with export to Excel) on http://bukhantsov.org/2012/03/query-builder-with-export-to-excel/ to see if your CMS query actually works and return data into Excel or not. If not, rework your SQL query. Regards, Jin-Chong

you can download it from here
BO XI 3.1: Download and unpack http://bukhantsov.org/tools/QueryBuilder.zip
BO BI 4.0: Download and unpack http://bukhantsov.org/tools/QueryBuilder4.zip
and
you can read how it works
Robert,
Try this
http://<SERVER NAME>:Port/AdminTools/
Only type AdminTool, the rest is dynamically filled in based on browser

Hi,
can you try with IE 9 if you are on SAP B I 4.0 SP4...
can you check Java version on your machine..
We had similar issue with BI, we resolved by adding website into trusted, matched supportable java version and IE version to SAP BI
Then it worked fine..

I cannot check with IE9 unfortunately. We are on 11 here at work. I don't have it available. We are on 4.1. Java versions I have check out from everything I can tell. Site is already in trusted site.
I should say the rest of the BOBJ BI works just fine. I don't have any problems logging any anywhere else and using the system. It's just the AdminTools Query Builder that doesn't display anything.
Fiddler Trace basically says the server returned no data.
HTTPWatch says the connection is reset but that's only in IE.
Hi Robert,
Please answer two more questions:
Above tests would isolate whether the issue is machine specific or user specific, so you can troubleshoot the issue in that direction.

Are you using the similar URL in 4.0
http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:8080/AdminTools/querybuilder/logonform.jsp
