Migrate BCS to BPC on HANA

Hi,

I am looking for a answer on how to migrate SEM-BCS to BPC NW 10.1.  I am looking for documents on this topic or anybody who actually performed such migration.

As far as I know, there are no tools for migrating from BCS to BPC.

These are very different platforms.

SAP may provide a path to go from  BCS to BPC but it is my guess that this would be only some directions and not migration tools.

I'm curious as to why you are making this migration?

Possibly, you don;t have a choice and have been assigned the task to do.

However, when comparing the two solutions, there are pros and cons, not least is that BCS is 'free' with the existing license, and BPC is an additional license fee.

Also, BCS has more rigid control.

Please can you share your (or the project's) motivations?

Hi Monty,

We have a customer that is using BPC for planning and they are also in the process of evaluating BPC on HANA. They already own HANA and it makes sense to have consolidation and planning on one application.

I m too looking for any reference or document regarding  Replacement of BCS with BPC .

I have worked in BPC and have understanding of that tool.
