ISTF Change Process does not change the fullfillment state

Dear Team,

We have ran a ISTF change process on Contract whose master data has not been replicated to ERP from CRM, before running this process, we are ensuring that all the master data required for this process is available in downstream system, then we are running the change process. The Contract gets replicated in the downstream system, but there is no change in fullfillment state.

Please help.

This IS-T EHP3 system.

Regards,

Satish

Hi Satish,

as of CRM 7.0 EhP3 SP7 the nature of ISTF process is that they

  • ...are meant to directly perform actions in downstream systems (without first changing the data in CRM)
  • ...don't lead to automatic status change in CRM contract
  • ...don't trigger fufillment steps in ODI

They are meant to e.g. activate/deactivate services directly in network system or change other master data (e.g. partner data).

If you want to change contract data in CRM and expecting this change to be tracked by the CRM contract status (in distribution -> distribution successful or failed) you need to go for a process of type ISTA.

FYI - you may also find details about the BRIM specific features in CRM at

Best regards

Stefan
