FBL3N vs FAGLL03 reports

Hi experts,

I have posted a transaction with a few line items

line items as below.

1) 40 (debit) without profit centre : 500

2) 50 (credit) with profit center : 100

3) 50 (credit) with profit center : 100

4) 50 (credit) with profit center : 100

5) 50 (credit) with profit center : 100

6) 50 (credit) with profit center : 100

this is fine and when i execute FBL3N its showing correctly this means that without profit centre in the first line item. table (BSEG)

when i execute FAGLL03 it is showing profit center as me credit line items one whereas it should be blank. Table ( FAGLFLEXA)

why its showing like this.

Hi Chandu

please check the setting in your system.

- Senario FIN_PCA is assigned for the ledger

- PRCTR is defined with Zero balance as ON in the splitting characteristic.
- In the splitting flag "Inheritance" is set as on ?

Hi Chandu,

For any active document split, in the GL view you will have debit line items in proportion to the weighted average of the revenue (Credit) line items. By inheritance if posting has one blank items, and all other items have one profit center (as in your case), then the blank item will get the same profit center.

HI ,

FBGLL)3 is new GL transaction and shows Profit centre  in each of you line item depend on your Splitting charcteristic defined for document splitting .

FAGLFLEXA table is docuemnt splitting table for line item . Please check your docuemnt splitting rule for your custom Docuemnt type ZA and also check your docuemnt splitting rule  . method in system .

this will explain why credit lines has Profit Centre.

Hi Mukthar,

Once you posted a document for the first line item without profit centre and for the subsequent line items if you enter profit centre. in FBL3N for the first line item system does not show PC.

but in FAGLL03 for all the line items its show PC. this is my issue.

just you can see your system as well.

as i am not able to share my screen.

Hi Chandu,

This is because document splitting active in your system. System will inherit the account assignment for non -assigned line items and this will display in GL view or FAGLFLEXA table not in entry view.

Hi Chandu,

1. First confirm me have you assigned any constant in the document splitting configuration and also check the profit centre assigned for the constant.

2. Have you maintained any substitution for the debit side GL account in GGB1 or if it is a cost element then check OKB9 or its account assignment i.e. cost centre.

in the constant in the document splitting configuration its assigned to dummy profit centre.

GGB1 there is not substitution

in OKB9 this GL is not being maintained.

apart from the above what do i need to check please advice me.

First confirm what type of account have you used for debit posting? What type of document is it?
