Business Roles...

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me if there is a predefined set of business roles? If yes, how can we extract it to do some analysis?

Also if you can confirm that it is possible to provide users with access to specific work centre / views without actually assigning any business role (s) to them.

Thanks

Puru

Hi Puru,

Business roles you can define on your own.

Yes you can assign work center view without actually assigning any business roles.

Refer to Application & User management workcenter

Select Business Users view

Select Any User

Go to subtab > Work center and view Assignment

Here you can directly assign the work centers view to the users.

Thanks

So Harshal / Lokesh,

There is no pre defined set of business roles that can just be adapted or modified and adapted

It has to be created from scratch.

Thanks

Hello Puru,

In order to see the list of the Business roles, you can use the report : All Business Roles

Please refer to help center document : All Business Roles

Also check help center document Working with Business Roles.

As Lokesh mentioned, you can assign work center/views to the user without assigning the business role to user.

Please note that Access rights can be maintained either by assigning business roles to users or by assigning work centers, views, and access restrictions to users directly. If you have assigned business roles to a user, all the access rights defined in the assigned business roles will overwrite the work centers, views, and access restrictions currently assigned to the user. Any manual changes that you have made to the user’s assignments in addition to the business role assignments will be lost. If you want to retain current access rights, see the corresponding documentation.

Regards,

Harshal
