tx.sap downloads in Chrome

Hi,

Whenever i opens SAP system via portal (7.4) we ended with downloading the file tx.sap and unable to open the required SAP systems.

The same is working fine in IE and Firefox with out any popups.

Can some one have fix for chrome browser.

Hi Vaira,

First make sure file associations are correct and .sap files are opened with SAP GUI.

in windows explorer you can type:

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Default Programs\Set Associations

to check this.

Now download the file again with chrome and after it downloads

select always open files of this type

Make sure that Chrome isn't configured to use Chrome Apps to handle the shortcut but instead hand it over to the OS. Look into configuring file associations in Chrome.
