Hi Aditya,

88 GB of RAM for just 300 users is usually more than sufficient. To prove if you do not belong to some exception situation, please specify;

- what is your SAP system (is it ABAP system, Java system, HANA system , etc)

- what is your business scenario

- how did you allocated the 88 GB RAM to the SAP software: did you increase some memory startup parameters, or you just have this memory available on HW level without special changes to parameters of the SAP systems? If this is the case, maybe SAP system runs in reality with only for example 4 GB and this would not be sufficient for 300 users...

Best regards,

Sylvia

Hi Aditya,

88GB for 300 users is way more than enough. You need to check main SAP memory parameter PHYS_MEMSIZE. And adjust all other parameters based on this value.

Below are some of the places to look at. If you provide more details about your landscape, it will be easy to assist. What system, DB, OS, Kernel etc?

Memory Allocation and Analysis - Application Server Infrastructure - SCN Wiki

Note 88416 - Zero administration memory management for the ABAP server for Windows

Note 941735:SAP memory management for 64-bit Linux systems

Memory Management under UNIX - SAP Memory Management (BC-CST-MM) - SAP Library
