SAP WCEM URL: Change Domain Name

Dear All,

Currently we are using WCEM 2.0 and using a FQDN (Ex: https://order.ABC.com ) URL to  access our WCEM applications.

My client is asking us to change the URL with new domain name (Ex: https://order.XYZ.com)

Below are my Queries:

1. How safe it is to change the domain name of existing environment

2. Is there any impact on the Custom applications if we change the domain name.

3. Kindly help me with the process of changing the Domain name

Hi Rajeev,

WCEM is a standard NetWeaver AS Java application. To change the domain name I would use a reverse proxy, please check: Configuring Reverse Proxy Servers - Administration - SAP Library.

Hi Rajeev,

There is no problem at all and you can change your url by changing web.xml but please remember if you are using any kind of proxy then you have to update your changed URL in your proxy as well.
