Sub asset is not copying life from main asset

Hi Experts,

We are facing issue while creation of sub asset from T. code AS11 with reference of main asset. In previous year we have been already changed the useful life in main asset. However system is not capturing the new revised useful life at the time of creation sub asset on the basis of main asset in the current date.

Please advice

Hi,

Select the check box at main asset level for the field useful life apart from other fields class,sub no & copy check boxes. If you have not selected the main asset check box, then system will default useful life at the time of you maintained in the main asset. If you select it, then it will default revised useful life of the main asset.

Hi

You can follow below steps to set relevant customizing in order to solve this issue.

1, T-cd:AS02 to display main number asset and go to menu: environment -> screen layout -> Depreciation area (or use T-cd:AO21)

2, Select the layout and double click on 'field group rules', then flag on fileds 'MnNo' and 'Sbno', 'Copy' for field group 'Useful Life'. Save your changes

3, T-cd:AS11 to create subnumber
