Dear All
I am facing the issue in HANA DB where the hanalog Quota exceeding the limit.
I am worrying about the production system failure.
We are using TSM solution for backup and manually we did successful backup back and it is not truncating the logs.
Anybody can help me out to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Thanks in Advance
Se.
Hi there.
If you do actually perform log backups, the log files will be reused and mustn't be manually deleted!
In case you're talking about the log backups, you need to ensure that TSM will remove the files after some time as part of the backup handling.
In any case: don't ever confuse the log backup files with the log files.
Delete the latter and you will end up with actual data loss.
Delete the former and all you've lost is a backup file.

Hi Sel,
Even, i have wondered about the truncating option for HANA logs . I have created a script and scheduled a corn job at OS level to clean up the existing logs.
