Syabse DB is not starting

Hi All,

I am new to SYBASE ASE i need a suggestions to start the two instances properly recently i installed ECC6-EHP7-IDES-DE1 with SYABSE ASE 15 in linux RHEL6 and in a same server one more instance ECC-EHP7 DE2 is installed using different SID's. now my problem is unable to run two instances at a time, while DE1 is running DE2 is unable to start the database and instance till DE1 stops. while starting second instance  please suggest to tune the parameters for two Central instances up and running.

OSystem    RHEL6

SWAP size 50 GB

RAM size  15 Gb.

In ID1.log you have

You are trying to use the same port. Edit $SYBASE/interfaces file and set another port

Thanks for your reply, I changed the SC2 LISTENER PORT to SYBASE/interfaces,

SC2

  master tcp ether tamc 5000

after i start the server the dispatcher is going down and i noticed some issues below and dispatcher trace is attached below.

I didn't find any hint from DB end

You need to get in touch with the application side and I think they are right person to answer this query

Thanks for your reply but when i check the logs its showing the below error related to Database syabse, before changing the listener it was working fine after it changed to 5000 its giving the below errors.

Kindly provide the SYBASE ASE Dataserver and BackupServer for the SID of your machine,

You can get the files from

Dataserver: $SYBASE/ASE-15_0/install/SID.log

Backup Server: $SYBASE/ASE-15_0/install/SID_BS.log

Saravana,

I think you can have single SID database while you are accessing from the SAP GUI.

Am I correct, is the reason?

I didn't get any clue from the logs which you provided

Let me clear what's the problem is, I installed a ECC6EHP7(IDES) with SYBASE 15.7 both DB+CI SID is ID1, later i installed one more CI-Central Instance using different SID SC2  and DBSID also SC2 using MCOD now sybase having two DB Instances ID1 and SC2 so my problem is while starting the servers only one is Server working whenever i start the another server its not up and running i think it might be on memory parameter issues and what is the process to be up and running
