Need to create separate paths for standard user creation and mass user creation in GRC 10.1.

Hi All,

I need to create separate paths for single (Self/Others) user creation and mass user creation for a single initiator for a single process ID.

The first will have one path and the other will have two stages with completely different agents. We cannot use routing rules in this scenario.

Please help and let me know in case any information is needed!

Hi Nikhil,

Please refer to this good answer in the following thread

As a standard initiator rule using just a decision table, the required field (Request For) does not seem to be available within the Header level structure.

As a quick workaround, what I have done in one implementation is a custom request type to cater for the scenario instead. We have also restricted the authorisations within the Access Requestor role so that only certain privilaged role users can create and submit a multiple request.

This has been done by restricting the field GRAC_RQFOR field within the GRAC_REQ authorisation object.

Hope that helps.

Hi Nikhil,

You can create seprate request type for Mass user creation and have a condition based on request type in your BRF. That should meet your requirement.

Thanks for the replies!

@Sajib, however, user creation and user mass creation both have the same request type (001) so we cannot provide the logic in BRF+ line by line based on request type. For now, we have created a separate request type for User mass creation as a work-around.

Hi Nikhil,

You will have to define a BRF+ Flat Rule (Rule Kind: initiator) with the Decision Table for different Access Request types and maintain that Initiator Rule into the MSMP for Access Request. The BRF Rule Results will be the paths into the MSMP and define the stages for each path as you need. The document above should help you define the workflow.

Sajib.

Nikhil,

please check the documents available on SAP. E.g. http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-1566

If you have specific questions do not hesitate to ask. If you are very new to GRC you should consider a training (e.g. GRC300 course, check training.sap.com).

Regards,

Alessandro
