I tried to install SAP ASE 16.0 in Linux, but installation failed several times. can any one share the details how to install?

Anyone solved this?  Seems to run into the same problem importing templates for SP02...

This problem was related to an ASE for custom applications installation.

Hi,

When you did the install what port did you tell it to use also is the listener up and running?

Check the syntax of you create database command:

If your database is created check that you can connect to port with telnet:

telnet 127.0.0.1 9999

Hi,

I'll assume this is an installation of an ASE for a "non-SAP application" (because of file name ase160_linuxx86-64_2.tgz ) . The best would be to have this published on SAP ASE for custom applications community.
Besids that I would suggest to check the "/etc/hosts" file content and to avoid usage of "localhost".

i have tried installing ASE16 .0 in Redhat 6.5.

below are errors, which i got while installing the ASE.

I would recommend posting a description of exactly what happened during you installation attempt(s).  How far did you get?  Where there any obvious failure messages?
