How to delete the overwriting indicator of a Characteristic in the class

Dear All:

             I overwrite a charateristic in a class,for example I change the 'Entry Required' indicator of a charateristic then the 'Overwriting Indicator' is automatically selected.

             As a result ,other control fields in the class of the charateristic wouldn't change when changing the same field in CT04 which means when I want to make some changes of a charateristic that can effect all the classes using the charateristic is impossible.

             How can I delete the 'Overwriting Indicator' of a charateristic in the class or there is a another way  can fulfill my purpose？

Hi Xiaojie,

This is a standard system behaviour. When a characterisitc is changed inside a class, the change is applicable only to this class.

If you need to undo the change done by overwriting, in CL02, goto the characteristics, then from menu select Extras--> Overwrite-->Delete all.

If you need the change to be applicable for all class, then the changes can be done in CT04.
