SAP ECC6 and SAP Business One architecture

Hello,

I'm working for a company which produces core board, composes with big mills (90 to 150 people each) and very small mills (1 entities where the board in transformed into cores, around 10 people each).

The big Mills are already on SAP, and we need now to integrate the small ones. SAP ECC6 is "too big" for them and maybe to "sofisticated".

I have to add that these small mills are currently using Microsoft DAX small ERP) and in order to replace it, we have thought of SAP Business One which is a solution designed for small companies.

So, my question is

Do you think that it would be a good idea if the small mills ( 14 entities)  would use SAP Business One and if we "connect" these SAP BO to the "big" SAP already used by the big Mills ?

Is it possible to have such architecture and what do you think about it ?
