How to delete trailing spaces in data values before loading to PSA

Hi Gurus,

How can I delete the trailing spaces in the data while loading in PSA. We have an Infoobject 0BATCH.  Sometime when we get data from ECC it has trailing spaces and load fails.

How can we address..any sugestions?

Also this infoobject is already in Production and heavily used. When we make changes and move it to Production, do we need to delete all the data in the info providers?

if your info object have ALPHA conversion?

Please at info level, wether its selected ALPHA conversion or not.

if not then better select and check your loads.

Rather than trailing empty spaces, its adds left padding 0.

Yes....Alpha conversion resolved the issue. However second part of my question is still unanswered. SInce this infoobject is heavily used in data providers, do I need to delete the data before I make changes in the Infoobject and move it to next environment?

Hi Ajoy,

       No need to delete the data, goahead with the changes. Since you are not changing the structure of the table, Alpha conversion is option which doesn't effect database table, it deals with data before loading/updating to InfoObject.
