Lead Nurturing - Qualification Level

My customer is working on lead nurturing and have the following criteria:

  1. Use campaign management to send out communication to customers with an existing lead.
    1. Use an email and a survey to communicate to the customer.
    2. Use a target group on the campaign with customers with leads of a certain status.
  2. The qualification of the lead would be updated based on the survey results total points.
  3. The customer would not have any log-in credentials.
  4. The customer could have multiple leads in the system but only one should be updated.

When the survey is completed we would like the qualification level field be updated in the CRM system.  I realize a lead can be created from a survey but can the lead be updated from a survey?  How is the lead identified in the survey if the target group doesn’t hold this information?  How does the survey pass enough information for the lead to be identified and therefore updated.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes

Only the BPs [prospects] part of target groups will be updated. If prospects are not already existing in the system then you have to upload them through ELM - External list management, and then execute a campaign


How does the survey pass enough information for the lead to be identified and therefore updated.


As said above, when a campaign is executed, survey will be sent to the BP [target group] to his registered mail id and any response made by that BP will be updated.

Hi Ed,

Your requirement is a complex life cycle. However the standard SAP survey will cover the part

sending the survey from the lead. and subsequently the lead will updated by the survey result.

This means you need to create the survey under the 'Leads' folder in TCODE survey_suite.

But the survey attached in the mail form of campaign belongs to 'marketing' folder. In standard it could be used to update the BP's information just like the marketing attribute.

In this way the campaign part is missing. This is also the most complex part, consider that you need to create the connection from the BPs in the TG to the specific lead out of the all leads. But there is no direct link provide by standard function.

Hi Ed

In the processing of the Survey there are Two SAP Standard Function Modules used.

One for "Before Processing" the other for "After Processing"

Typically for an implementation these standard function modules are copied and adjusted to meet the customer requirements, and this is what you would need to do here.

Adjust the After processing function module to perform the required update to the lead.
