Advantages of TREX (index and search) for SAP PI

Hello !

Requirement:

•      We have SAP PI 7.4 system and wish to make the search easy.
  •      For Example: Search the Msg_Ids to get their related iDoc numbers, Document numbers, etc. which are present in the XML format.

Questions:

1. I want to know if TREX can be of any help to enable the above requirement?
2. Is there any other way to achieve it?

What I do currently:

goto

goto SXMB_MONI -> Advanced Search Criteria -> input the Messsage Id
