In BKPF table, in which all cases the document number will be equal to first 10 digit of reference key and in which all cases both are different?

Hello Everyone,

I need to know about the reference key of documents in BKPF table.

I found two types of documents in BKPF table and they are:

     1. Document number equal to the first 10 digit of reference key, for example for a document number 1234567890 the reference key is like      1234567890XXXXXXXX.

     2. Document number not equal to first 10 digit of reference key( document number and reference key are different)

Please let me know, in which all cases the document number will be equal to first 10 digit of reference key and in which all cases both are different?

As I randomly checked in the BKPF table, the documents reference to FB01 transaction code having the  document number equal to the first 10 digit of reference key and for the documents reference to other than FB01 transaction code the  document  number and reference key are different.

But I am not sure of this because I am not  a FICO consultant, so I need your help

Thanks in advance for your answers

Regards,

Vijay
