Unable to access query in Bex Analyzer

Dear All,

Could you please help us as we are getting No authorization error in Bex Analyzer when we are trying to view the query. We can access the query in RSRT using USERID for Execute as others. When we try the same query and with same userID in Bex Analyzer we are getting the error No authorization. We are on BI 7.3. Please let me know in case you need more information

Hey Edward,

my problem is the same like OP got.

So the query works for me, it works on RSRT with that user who got the problems.

But it doesnÄt work with the user.

RSECADMIN protocol is green and SU53 doesn't say anything helpful.

We use SAP BW 731 SP 16 and BEx 7.3 SP 7 Patch 1.

could you please post the exact error message that you get.
is it really the authorization for the query that is missing, or ist it for the workbookß or the data?

Can you please clarify regarding what is the Release and Patch Level applied to SAP GUI for Windows and what is the Patch Level applied for BI 7.0 ADDON FOR SAP GUI

1.Try to run authorization trace in ST01 for specific user id. Security team should be able to help you in that

2. Also compare roles and profiles of that user with another user id who is able to access query in bex analyser , there might be some role missing ( SU01).

Thanks for your answer. But the problem is with same user ID i can execute the query on RSCEADMIN --> RSRT--> No issues. It works.

But when i try to run query from Bex analyzer i am getting error No authorization. Please suggest.

SU53 doesnt give something relevant.

Sorry but I've ever heard of such situation.

May be there is some conflict on one exact computer / BEx Analyzer not properly installed.

Hi,

On one hand there is access to the query in RSRT/Execute as <user>.

on the other hand the same user can't access the query from the analizer level.

In that case may be SU53 will tell you what is the reason for the problem.

Run it just after trying to open the query by that user.

Can you run the query in RSECADMIN transaction code in Analysis tab by giving that user id and see the log for detailed information. please see the below screen shot.

Is it happening for the new workbook ?

I guess the workbook level authorization is missing where as query level authorization is fine.

Talk to your Security/Basis team and let them have a look at authorization problem you are facing.

It works on SAP BW via rsrt.
