We have a situation where we want the consumption of the forecast to go from the oldest available forecast forward. Not from the date of entry and back/forward setting. Is there a standard setting that will allow the forecast consumption to go oldest forward?
Hi Dan,
Try with the setting Take into account forecast horizon in past. This can be found in the product master, tab SNP2 section SNP Demand Profile - Forecast Horizon in past.
The Ada solution could work if you open the planning book for the past periods and then in the SNP global settings you change from backward to first possible date (for SNP Heuristic).
Thanks,
Regards, Marius

Hi,
System cannot check which is the oldest forecast.
Of course you can use user-defined consumption but I think setting backward consumption period as 999 days will meet your requirement.

Unfortunately, going backwards 999 isn't working. Forecast early in the period isn't getting consumed, and falls off prior to the consumption going all the way back to the beginning of the period. We've got some other ideas to work it, but really thought there would be a way to consume forecast oldest forward, vs around the date of the order.
