Material determination base on Stock Availability

My requirement is material determination base on stock availability ;

During sales order processing for material A

• If Material A has enough stock then material determination should not trigger,
• If Material A not having enouh stock then material determination should trigger and alternative material B should appear in sales order.

Material A maintained "Material entered" combination with alternative Material B with subsitute reason 004 (SAP standard set-up) and MRP tick for material B

How-ever during order processing Material A always replace with Material B even though Material A has enough stock.

1. I tried to change material determination record by entering Material A as alternative material as first place (MRP tick) and Material B as second place.

          Result is same, during order processing Material A replace with Material B

I already checked all blogs / SAP help documents but couldn't figure out so I am creating new discussion. I am not figure out where I am making mistake.

Try the T-code OVRQ. Material determination revolves around the substitution reason which we mention in VB11. Just check if that help.

Hi,

activate material analysis determination in sales order, maybe you´ll find a hint of what´s wrong.
