Dear Experts,

We have a requirement of copying PRD client to prepare QA New client. The size of PRD client is around 1 TB.

I just wanted to know below points

1. The size of client export transport files

2. Estimated time for client export

3. Estimated time for Import process.

Can you please suggest?

Please note we cannot do system refresh as we are going to create new client in QA with recent PRD data. So, we have to do export/import only.

Already checked below notes, but wanted to have one quick liner.

118823 - CC-ADMIN: Size of a client

489690 - CC INFO: Copying large production clients

552711 - FAQ: Client copy

Thank you,

If the size if 1 TB why are you doing a client copy? For such systems a backup and restore based system copy would be the right approach. The export and import time depends on the hardware resources and there is no way others can assist you without knowing what the hardware setup looks like. Instead of wasting time by frequently checking the export and import progress do a system copy using the backup and restore option.

Hi RB,

Thanks for your reply. yes, the method you suggested is the right approach if we refresh entire QA system but as I mentioned, we need to setup  new client in QA with latest PRD data, it means we will have two clients in QA system. One is current client 400 and other is new client 410 with latest PRD data. This is the requirement  from our functional team for project purpose.

Best Regards,
