what is the result after MRP run if same component material is used in MTS and MTO

Hello Experts,

I have scenario like below,

I have finished material with 2 level BOM for MTS scenario with strategy 40

I have another finished material with 2 level BOM for MTO scenario with strategy 20.

but both finish materials have one raw material in common.

how is the requirement for this raw material after mrp run?

please give your valuable inputs on this scenario.

You can influence how the dependent requirement is planned with the indivicual/collective requirement indicator

Hi Umesh,

If you set the "individual/collective requirement" (MRP 4) for raw material as 1 ( individual requiement only) then system will create a customer segment for this raw material based on the strategy "20"  maintained at Finished Material level (i.e. you have to procure this material specific to sales order, or move stock from Unrestricted to special stock with movemen type 412 E)

If you set it to 2 (collective requirement), then system will not create a customer segment for MTO scenatio, rather it will club the depenedent requirement from MTS & MTO to create procurement proposal. In this case, you need not to procure the raw material specific to a perticular sales order.
