Scheduling a Report

Hi,

Is there any way to schedule an Analysis report?

There is a monthly need to have several Analysis reports created with varying dimension values. It would be great to be able to have these report automatically generated based on at least the changing time period. Please let me know if there is any way to do that.

Thanks,

Michael

I don't think this is an option; in cases like this we still use BEx Information Broadcasting...assuming BEx / BW is your data source

Unfortunately, my data source is Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services.

It's too bad there is no way to schedule Analysis reports. Hopefully, this capability can be added in a new version...

Hello Michael

AOLAP is a realtime analysis tool and thus displays/analyzes live data. Thus it currently has no scheduling ability.

There is an Idea Place entry for this which you can vote/comment on at Scheduling of Analaysis for Olap : View Idea.

For scheduling use cases we typically recommend using our reporting tools; Web Intelligence or Crystal Reports.

Kind Regards

Does the Analysis Edition for Microsoft Office work with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services? Logically, I would think yes, but I have been told by SAP Support that it does not.

Please let me know. Thanks much!

Hi Michael - Analysis Office does not support MS SQL Server

You are right

That's ironic and sad.

Thanks for the info!
