Hi all,
I am wanting to have the capacity set up filter options using the SAPSetFilterComponent formula. I can get the dropdown filter, but I'm wanting to link to a cell in Excel with a drop-down. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. This is what I have:
I've correctly selected my Data Source, Dimension Name, Target Data Source, but when I put either a static value or a cell reference into the formula for the value I want to filter on, it doesn't do anything.
For example, with the 0Employee data source we want to be able to select various criteria such as Employment Status and have them applied as filters which will save a lot of time when we are needing to split the data into multiple forms.
Is this possible?
Thanks
Jason
Hi Jason
The formula SAPSetFilterComponent do not allow you to specify a cell reference to the filter value. You can though overwrite the result of the formula, and set the filter value(s) this way.
If you want to set a filter on a DataSource using a cell reference, you must create a macro using method SAPSetFilter and e.g. assign this macro to a button or the Worksheet_change event.
