DEV system automatically shutdown

HI,

i have having problem that, after executing command startsap its showing instance is started and i am able to show logon screen. but after sometimes sap shutdown. can you please help in this issue.

OS is HP-UX

Hi Arif,

If possible could you share system logs from SM21 with dev_w0 & dev_disp log files.Please confirm for any recent activities on the system in regards kernel upgrade or any ?

we have added storage. after that we facing the issue. i am unable to login so i cannot get SM21 log. any other way?

For test purposes could you un-tag storage once & check again with restart of SAP instance.Confirm with the results.

could you please let us know which log need to check in OS level? and give the location of that log file.

Hi Arif,

If you just added storage was it in sapdata files or the /usr/sap/.

also Request you to provide us with dev_w0, startsap logs which you can find user /usr/sap/<SID>/DVM*/work directory.

Also try to unmount & mount back the volumes which has been changed.

Let us know the details.

Hi Ram,

Please check if usr/sap directory is shared as sapmnt? Check whether the shared mount broke? If not as per Gaurav and Ram, you need to analyze the logs at usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGSxx/work directory.
