Retrieval of archived data from ILM store

Hi,

We have legal requirements for FI data.

7 years of FI data need to be available for reporting anytime.

So if we archive 5 years of data to sybase IQ using ILM, is it possible to report on the archived data via ABAP report.

Currently there exists custom ABAP report for P&L analysis, so after archiving will the report still bring archived data from ILM store.

If not, what how can this be achieved using ILM ?

Hi Ananda,

Sybase IQ will serve you as a secondary database to retrieve the data much faster when compared to archive server.

SAP has provided reports which can read from archive as well. there will be no issue with that. if you have custom reports, you need to enhance your reports with that requirement.

You may use Retention Warehouse which is a subcomponent of ILM to run reports on the archived data. First you need to create the list of archived list by using ILM Store Browser and you can create a work package based on this list.
