Hello Christoph

Thanks for reply. Ok  will explain, what I am looking for.

In SPRO/IMG we define the  Rules for release relevant level .

Spro/sap ehsm/product compliance/compliance object/rules for release relevant levels.

I wanted to know

1. why and at what scenarios  we define these rules.

2. How these rules will be used in the product structure of compliance data .

Thanks & Regards

Satish.

Hi Satish,

If a level in the product structure is defined as being release relevant, e.g. the salable product, for each compliance requirement the release status is tracked.

The release status serves several purposes:

  1. Make compliance information reliable: you can see if a compliance assessment is still in progress or if it is finished. This makes sense on different levels in the product structure: For purchased parts you can track if all supplier information is complete and valid, for the salable product you can control when and which information / documents can be used to provide to your customers.
  2. The release relevant levels in a product structure also keep the "compliance history". Which means you can see by the valid from / valid to date what compliance information was valid at a certain date.
  3. If you have a released component / basic material re-calculations are prevented if not necessary. If you have elements which are not release relevant those are always re-calculated "on-the-fly" with each compliance check.

I hope it helps.

Best regards,

Andreas

Hello Andreas

Many thanks for prompt replies.

1. Regrading the point no 1,

  •   where in the product structure we define the salable product.
  •   where can we check the status in the product structure
  •    tracking of supplier information
  •    and how the do you control the documents that can be provided to the customer.

2. Not idea how to check the histroy .

3. Ok, I understand release relevant levels controls the re-calculations for Basic material.

If they are released then no re-calculations takes place otherwise it is yes.

Cheers
Satish

Hi Satish,

where in the product structure we define the salable product.

In the admin tab of the Compliance Workbench.

where can we check the status in the product structure

The release status is an attribute of the compliance requirements. In the Compliance Workbench you see an overview of the compliance requirements in the table in the upper part of the screen. You can also see the status in the product structure view of the compliance workbench combined with the check results (green flag means that a component / supplier part / ... is released).

tracking of supplier information

Regarding the release status and historic compliance information you can open the supplier part separately in the compliance workbench and track the status as mentioned above.

and how the do you control the documents that can be provided to the customer.

Per Compliance Requirement you can define in IMG which documents are to be published ("consumable") and which are only internal.

2. Not idea how to check the histroy .

See above. If there is a history of compliance information you can see it in the compliance requirement overview of the compliance workbench.

Regards,

Andreas
