Separate password policy (configuring login parameters)

Hi All,

To assign separate password policy for the users,

I have configured the profile parameters like (length, minimum digits, uppercase and lowercase letters) in the 'default' profile in RZ10 transaction. While creating users in SU01 do i need to give the "default" profile?

Thanks in advance,

Thanks & regards,

NarsiReddy.

Hi NarsiReddy,

You have set the security parameters in default profile to make it global. This is correct. While creating users in SU01, profile tab is for generated profiles from the roles. No need to mention default profile there. Both profiles are not related. When you add roles and save, profiles gets automatically updated.

Thanks,
Kavitha Rajan.

Hi

Empty value in user security policy is for parameters defined in profiles + kernel defaults .

Other sets you can define in SECPOL transaction and use for your special users.
