Hi,

When I try to call the tcode SOAMANAGER, link is triggered in browser but I am getting an error saying that "Page cannot be displayed". I have checked some discussion thread for this issue, but not able to overcome this issue. APPL_SOAP_MANAGEMENT service is active and I have following roles SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_CONFIGURATOR, SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN_TEC and SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN.

Pls help me to overcome this issue.

Regards,

Aravinth

Hello Aravinth,

Maybe its a browser compatibility issue, try using browser options to enable compatibility.

Hi,

Host is maintained in the server. But still the page is not loading. Do I need to maintain a host file entry of my local machine where I am trying to open the tcode ?

Yes, the Host entry should be maintained for your Local system.

Again, this is not required for the server.

Hi Aravinth,

Have come across the same case and this is what helped for me

Please check  :

1) In SICF, find the service appl_soap_management and check whether is active.

2) The message it says:
Make sure the webaddress is correct http://vcomp006:0 ....

Which means it could be that the HTTP listener (8080) port is defined to 0, instead of 8080.

Can you check in RZ10, whether the parameter for icm/server_port_0

if the port setting for HTTP is set to the default value of 8080 (BASIS activity)

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Remi

Hi Remi,

Thanks for your valuable reply. As you said, port number is mentioned as 0 (pls refer attached screenshot). Do I need to change the port number ?

Hi Sidhesh,

Where I can find "fully qualified hostname" ? Bcoz, as I searched in RZ10 tcode, fully qualified hostname is mentioned as vcomp006 only. Pls refer the below screenshot.

Few more possibilites

1. Check in SMICM the HTTP port maintained is 8080.

2. Test someother service in SICF check what it displays?

3. Try with the same link with IP Address of vcomp006.

(if this works, then it could be because, the host file entry needs to be maintained)

4.** worst case scenario - try SAP_ALL and try opening SOAMANAGER, just to make sure its not got to do with a missing authorization.

Hello Aravinth,

Can you please try the following tests:

- In a Windows command window Ping vcomp006 and check if it returns the IP address

- SICF - check if key services such as /default_host/public/myssocntl are active

- SMICM - check if the hostname is mentioned as vcomp006, check the port number

As Remi mentioned below, try other services out of SICF.

A blank page is usually due to a missing host file entry.

Hope this has been maintained.
