Hello All,
I'm new to Web Services, have researched this question and have not found a satisfactory answer. Do you need the Internet Transaction Server in order to build and run a Web Service?
Thanks,
Darren
Hi Darren,
Could you please elaborate on your requirement? What do you want to create a web service for?
As far as i know, we can create internet services using the Internet Communication Framework via the SICF transaction and do not necessarily require an ITS: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/EN/36/020d3a0154b909e10000000a114084/frameset.htm

Utkarsha,
Thank you for your prompt reply. My client does not use ITS because of concerns about the frequency of kernel patches. Therefore I am researching possibilities of accessing SAP data via browsers and other platforms. RFCs work, but like I said, I'm researching other avenues of communication for my client that do not require ITS.
Thank you,
Darren
