Work description in project reports

Hallo!

We'd need to include the work description of employee time recordings in time sheets (e. g. available in Report employee times: montly) in project reports (e.g. Project line items).

Does anybody have an idea?

Hi Roswitha,

you could create a new Data Source (Join Type: Left Outer Join) based on DS Project Line Items (as Anchor DS) and Project Expense Item. Join Criteria would be Project and Project Task and you join the Work Description to the Project Line Items:

Then you have to create a new report based on this DS.

Hi,

Joining the two data sources is the right approach.

I would however use source document ID and source document item ID as join criteria.

These two characteristics point to the time recordings (when you are looking at "internal services" as G/L account (origin).
