Hello,
We are facing a slowdown in BO server often where the BI launchpad is unable to be opened in browser. 'Page not responding' message is dispayed.
In the event logs we found the following :
Server Intelligence Agent: server IRLSAPBOPROD.WebIntelligenceProcessingServer is being recycled.
The default web application server being used in Tomcat 7.0.32. Inspite of the tomcat service being running most of the time in CCM, we can witness that the BI launchpad is not opening. The only option to recover from this is manual restart of Tomcat service and we are looking at a preventive measure. Please help in tracing the root cause.
Regards,
Amogh
When this "Page not responding' message is displayed" error occurs, are there any user who save as/export their Webi report to PDF/Excel from BI Launchpad prior to Tomcat7 crashed?

Hi Amog,
1- Is it the same with CMC?
2- Try to open the Tomcat home page, using a link like http://<YourServerName>:<port>
its the same link used to access BILaunchpad but without /BOE/BI
And see if it gives you the same error.
3-Also, are you using any any loadbalancer, proxy,..
If yes, try to disable them and acces BILaunchpad directly using tomcat link.
kind regards,
Moslem

Hi,
Do you receive the "Page not found" when opening the login page?
Or after logging in and performing some report activity (view, etc.)?
If when opening the login page, it has nothing to do with the WebI Processing Server.
Check network connectivity.
Also check the CPU / Memory utilization of Tomcat (or the web app server that you use) when you observe the error.

Hi Amogh,
Webi Processing server recycle is common, no need to worry about that. Trace files might give some clues what is wrong. For best analysation, you need to send them to SAP support.
Can you run the support tool and find out is there anything wrong in your environment?
http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/SAP+BI+Platform+Support+Tool
And also another great tool to monitor webi processing server live. Check below link.
Utility for monitoring Webi/APS activity in real-time

Hope this will help!!!!
Thanks,
Daya
