SAP Delivered Roles Missing in HANA DB After Multi Tenant Database Conversion

Hello Everyone,

I have converted an existing single container SAP HANA database into a Multi Tenant database.  After the conversion, the new tenant database contains the SAP delivered sap.hana.* roles (e.g. sap.hana.admin.roles::Administrator, sap.hana.xs.ide.Developer, etc.), but the SYSTEM database does not.  In addition, these roles are not present in any additional tenant databases, that are created.

Is this expected behavior?  If so, how do we get the sap.hana.* roles in the other tenant databases and in the SYSTEM database?

Per SAP, this is expected behavior.  The roles will be available once the required deilvery units are installed.
