Hi ,

While using the Print option of crystal(crystal 2013) in IE 11,Instead of Print Dialog, It Prompts for Export .How do i overcome the Prompt.I want  Direct Print Dialog.

But With the Older IE versions with Crystal 2008 ,the Expected behavior was worked fine. After Updating the ie 11, we have noticed the Problem and we have installed the Latest Crystal version.but the issue remains.

Customers asking for the Direct Print Dialog,as they are more compatible with that.

Provide me the guideline to overcome the issue.

Hi Raji,

-Are you printing from BI launchpad or CMC?

-Go to Preferences Tab after you login and check which option is set for crystal reports under "Select Printing Control".

-Try chaning the options given PDF or Activex.

Hello,

Did you develop a WEB application? I assume so because you mentioned IE 11.

So which SDK are you using, .NET or Java?

What version of the SDK?

By default our SDK's default is to the ActiveX printer and this is configurable in the SDK or a property of the Viewer. To be able to print you need to have the Adobe Reader installed and IE's add-in enabled or possibly disabled it there are problems with it.

By default if CR's WEB viewer cannot find the Adobe Plug-in it exports to PDF format.

yes,we are developing web applications.

SDK and version  is : NET Framework 2010.

I have done the following in the client machine..but it is not working .

updated the Adobe reader and enabled the add -on.

so,anything need to be done more than this?

the same needs to be done in the server ?

I see you are using Managed Reporting. For that you need to log into Service Market Place and download the 4.1 .NET SDK package.

What you installed does not have an SDK so not sure what you used to add Assemblies to your project...

Once you do that then a property of the WebFormViewer has the option to select PDF as the default printer driver.

If you do not want to use that then use your own Print button to do the printing.

Look for samples on the Overview Tab, it has a link to our SDK samples.
