Can any unix script be made by the help of which we can rename the job chain in redwood cronacle.?
Hi Vaibhav,
Another way would be to write the RedwoodScript to perform the actions you want and call jscript (jtool script) on the script with parameters to perform the required actions ...

Hi Vaibhav,
Try creating two jobs in chain one for Unix job and one for Redwood script job.
If the unix Job(K shell) get the name of the job chain u want to keep and set it as job parameter.
In Second job(redwood script job) read the parameter of first jobs and use it update using redwood script.

hi ravindranath ,
can Unix script be written in bash to rename the job chain in redwood cronacle..
If I am exporting the .car file of the job chain and somehow manage to change the name of the job then that change would not get reflected back as I am not importing the newly updated .car file..
Need some serious help.
Thanks in advance.
