Electronic Bank Statement - Two Search Strings for the same external code

Hi Experts,

I'm facing an issue with search string in EBS. One of our clients has upgraded their system from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0 EHP 7. I configured EBS for them in ECC 5.0 and it is working fine. After upgradation to ECC 6, the EBS program is unable to identify the search string if there are two search strings for the external code 455. I've checked search string configuration in ECC 6 and it is correct. It is working fine when there is only one search string for the external code. The issue is with two search strings.

Below is the record containing two search strings 'AMEX' and 'AXP'. In fact, the program has to identify search string 'AMEX'.

16,455,50000,0,XXXXXXXTC,KT/

88,ORIG NAME=AMEX,ORIG ID=XXXXXXX,DESC DATE=150503,ENTRY DESC

88,R=AXP,ENTRY class="CCD",TRACE NO=XXXXXXX,ENTRY DATE=150503,IND

Can anyone suggest me how to post this transaction with search string?

Your help is highly appreciated.

Regards,

K.S.K

Hi,

You are not using differents posting rule for the same external transaction?

Simulation in transaction FEBSTS is ok?

You can also use BADI 'FIEB_CHANGE_BS_DATA' as described in point 2. or EXIT

'FEB00004' as described in point 10. for your needs. There you can

implement your own logic to overrule the posting rule.

Besides this you have the third oppertunity to use search string for EBS

.

SPRO

->Financial Accounting

    -> Bank Accounting

       ->Business Transactions

          ->Electronic Bank Statement

               -> Define Seach String for Electronic Bank Statement

Hope this was at least helpful for you.

Hi Cristiano,

Thanks for your reply.

Posting rule is different for each search string and simulation is also ok, no issues with that. We didn't implement BADI in ECC 5. We will check the BADI you mentioned.

Search strings are working fine except in case of two search strings for the same code. Is there any additional configuration that needs to be done in ECC 6 for search string? Please let me know.
