SAP BPC 10.1 SP003 NW standard, Controls Monitor failed after running

Hi all,

Today I implemented a simple Controls, Control Sets and Assignment and tested it in the Controls Monitor.

Unfortunately the process failed and the message was:

"Failed to run the control sets."

And the see details are:

"Selecting parent member for Dimension RptCurrency is not allowed."

My problem is dimension RPTCurrency, Dimension type R, is only having 3 base member (EUR, LC, USD), no parent.

I looked on SCN but I was not able to find a similar issue and SLG1 is not giving me more Information.

Did anyone came across this problem as well?

Hi All,

I solved my issue but not for sure why it is solved.

Two actions:

1. Deleted all defined Controls, ControlSets and Assigments and afterwards I created a new one.

2. I followed up the remark mentioned in SCN Post: 3307968

I am happy the error is gone BUT the error message could have been more intuitative.
