We have one civil material, which is supplied by two different vendor with different shelf life period(say for 6 months & 12 months).

We want only one MAT code for both item.Is it Possible? If yes, Then How?

Hello Anand,

Yes you can have one material code with different batches and in ME11/12 purchase info record you will enter Vendor, Material,Purchasing Organization & Plant as the input values, then you will be able to maintain the "Rem.Shelf Life" field under the control data tab of the "Puchasing Organization Data1" screen.

During goods receipt system calculate the shelf life expiration date as per the self life.

Also Badi VB_SLED_MANAGEMENT can be useful.

Please go SE18 and read the documentation of BAdi VB_SLED_MANAGEMENT method MAINTAIN_SLED_PARAMETERS it control of Shelf Life Expiration Date

Within customer exit EXIT_SAPLVBMD_001 (called in function module VB_MAINTAIN_MHD) you can control recalculation or expiration date.
