OData not getting deployed on SMP

Hi,

We are facing issue deploying OData project to SMP 3.0 SP06 server.

We have SMP 3.0 SP06 and SDK SP07.

We have installed Eclipse Kepler and required Plugins for SAP Mobile Platform OData Project.

We are following following tutorial to create ad deploy OData service using Kepler Release 2.

While deploying OData Project, we are getting eror "Object Type is Null or not contained in a resource" .

Kindly help us to rectify the issue.

its 1.4.1.

Both the screen shots are attached for error and Plugin version.

Can you also look at eclipse log

Are you able to connect to SMP server through eclipse? Test connection ?

Also, are you accessing SOAP WS URL through a proxy server?

I got same issue sometime back, i did uninstall SMP tools plugin and re-installed it. (it was really strange)

I am able to access SMP server from Eclipse, test connectivity success.

i am able to open the SOAP URL on chrome on the server machine.

This is the exact same issue what i got sometime back. Try after uninstalling and re-installing the plugins. Hope it should work now.

I uninstalled and installed the plugins, eclipse and even SMP also.

but no luck.

I have raised the ticket with SAP, but still no resolution.

Just want to understand,

Is this the first time you tried deploying odata project on SMP 3.0 SP06 server? Were you able to deploy before on same server or on previous version?

Did you upgrade SMP server to SP06 or it was a fresh installation?

That was really good question from you.

Customer is having existing SMP server as SP03 with SDK SP03, and they have used Juno earlier to developed OData project which was working fine.

Now since SMP server SP07 and SDK SP07 supports OData offline for Windows 8.1 Hybrid app using Kapsel, OData SDK.

Customer has asked us to do small POC to showcase that OData project will be deployed using Kepler to SMP.

So this is new SMP server which does not have any OData project.

Later we will upgrade the SMP SP03 to latest version.

FYI

SAP has official ended the support of Eclipse Juno in the end of June 2014. See this announcement and now SAP has come up with new SAP Mobile Platform tools in Eclipse Kepler.

Lets wait till you get any response on ticket.
